Melissa Hamilton

Melissa Hamilton joined the ARTZ Philadelphia board in May 2026.

Melissa is a community relations and marketing professional with a passion for connection, creativity, and compassionate outreach. With extensive experience in senior healthcare and community engagement, Melissa has dedicated her career to building meaningful relationships and creating programs that enrich the lives of others. She currently works in leadership roles focused on community mission, marketing, and advocacy within senior living and rehabilitation settings throughout the greater Philadelphia region.

Melissa was inspired to join the board of Artz Philadelphia through both her professional experience and personal journey caring for and supporting loved ones. Watching her father struggle with illness and the emotional impact that can come with aging and cognitive decline gave her a deeper understanding of how important dignity, purpose, and human connection truly are. During difficult seasons, Melissa saw how meaningful enrichment; music, art, conversation, movement, and shared experiences  could bring moments of comfort, joy, and identity back to individuals and families navigating hardship.

She believes strongly that enrichment is not simply an activity, but an essential part of quality of life. Art, creativity, and compassionate engagement have the power to reach people in ways traditional care alone often cannot. Melissa joined the board because she is passionate about helping create opportunities where individuals living with dementia feel seen, valued, connected, and celebrated for who they are beyond their diagnosis.
