Bringing creativity and connection to your doorstep!

The world changed drastically over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic. ARTZ in the Making, our in-person, hands-on art making program in long term care communities was suspended. As the pandemic wore on, we wanted to find a way to restore these experiences. ARTZ Kits was born through adaptation to the ever-changing new normal. Now, we’re bringing creativity to you in a way that is both safe and joyful!

Program Details

ARTZ Kits is a series of art projects that can be delivered directly to care communities (and, ultimately, to people living in their own homes).

Each kit includes all the necessary materials, step by step instructions, and follow-along videos for completing an engaging hands-on project that inspires creativity, conversation and imagination. As always, we focus on “process over product,” knowing that any time we spend being creative is in itself the greatest reward of all. Being a volunteer in the creation and assembly of Picasso Masks for ARTZ Kits was one of the most rewarding things I have done this year! The materials, instructions, and models, all organized and labeled, were delivered to my door. I was encouraged at every step along the way to have fun… which I did! But maybe the best part was seeing the pictures afterwards of the finished masks made by the residents of care communities served by ARTZ Philly, and the absolute JOY on their faces. To know that I played a small part in that joy and those smiles was really humbling.
