About the Event

Join us on Tuesday, April 18th at 10am for an in-person Music in the Neighborhood program at Esperanza Health Center with Warren Oree and the Lifeline Coalition

This is our final Music in the Neighborhood of the season. Warren and his fellow musicians are one of the most popular bands who have performed over two years of programming. Join us to send off another great year Music in the Neighborhood!

Warren Oree’s command of his upright acoustic bass mesmerizes audiences, unaccustomed to hearing the wide, colorful array of sounds that he can extract. In 2003, Warren Oree co-founded LifeLine Music Coalition, Inc.; a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting jazz and the arts in Philadelphia. For eight years LMC organized the West Oak Lane Jazz & Arts Festival featuring local Philadelphia artists. Join Warren and members of the the Coalition for his signature style of “undefeated Jazz.”

“Music in the Neighborhood” is a new program that has been launched thanks to the generous sponsorship of Acadia Pharmaceuticals Inc. a biopharmaceutical company headquartered in San Diego, California. It is a monthly program hosted by ARTZ Philadelphia, with various musical artists from the community performing in the Northwest and Hunting Park neighborhoods of Philadelphia and online, as a component of our “ARTZ in the Neighborhood” project.
