About the Event

Join us Monday November 21st at 1:00 pm (ET) for our Dementia Unplugged: Artful Insights program. After you register, we will send you the Zoom link and instructions.

This month we will be traveling to Durham, North Carolina to explore pieces from the collection of the the Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University. Since opening in 2005, the museum has organized and presented leading-edge exhibitions that travel worldwide. From the beginning, the Nasher Museum has been dedicated to building a groundbreaking collection of contemporary art. In this effort, the museum’s collection strategy emphasizes works by diverse artists who have been historically underrepresented, or even excluded, by mainstream arts institutions, and maintains a particular focus on artists of African descent.

Artful Insights is a monthly program brought to you as part of the Dementia Society’s series of online offerings for people living with dementia and their care partners, “Dementia Unplugged,” and hosted by ARTZ Philadelphia.

We invite you to join us each month for a warm, welcoming and light-hearted series of conversations around visual works of art from museums across the United States.

If bookings are closed but you’d still like to join, please contact Shane Farrell : farrell@artzphilly.org
