About the Event

Join us Monday June 26th at 1:00 pm (ET) for our Dementia Unplugged: Artful Insights program. After you register, we will send you the Zoom link and instructions.

This month we will be traveling to Iowa to visit the Stanley Museum of Art. The Stanley Museum is a visual arts institution that is part of the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. Established in 1969, the Stanley’s collection is diverse, with more than 17,000 objects that include paintings, sculpture, prints, drawings, photographs, ceramics, textiles, and one of the most significant collections of African art in the country. After 14 years without a building due to a flood, the new Stanley Museum of Art’s building opened to the public on August 26, 2022, all welcome and free for all.

Artful Insights is a monthly program brought to you as part of the Dementia Society’s series of online offerings for people living with dementia and their care partners, “Dementia Unplugged,” and hosted by ARTZ Philadelphia.

We invite you to join us each month for a warm, welcoming and light-hearted series of conversations around visual works of art from museums across the United States.

If bookings are closed but you’d still like to join, please contact Shane Farrell : farrell@artzphilly.org
