About the Event
Join us October 21st at 10:00 AM (ET) for an in-person Café for Care Partners at Kaiserman Jewish Community Center. After you register, we will send you information and instructions.
SAY YES – UNLOCKING THE POWER OF A PERSONAL MANTRA! Mantras are made up of unique words or phrases that align with your personal aspirations. Developing a personal mantra can be both enjoyable and a creative endeavor. Join us to uncover the transformative power of a personal mantra!
This Café will be facilitated by Carin Brastow. Carin, originally from Grand Rapids, MI, attended Calvin College for a duel degree in theatre and communications. Her career in theatre management has taken her around the globe, collaborating with esteemed organizations such as The Kennedy Center, The Luciano Pavarotti International Voice Competition, and the Opera Company of Philadelphia. During her time with nonprofits, she developed initiatives like “Morning Minutes” for donor outreach and created “Unlocking Your Personal Mantra.” In this program, she emphasizes kindness, creativity, and community support to foster well-being and meaningful connections, especially among older adults. Inspired by her parents’ experiences, Carin made the transition into the senior living industry, where she strives to help individuals discover communities that resonate with their values, interests, and needs.
We launched Café for Care Partners especially for the care partners of people living with dementia (usually family members but sometimes close friends playing the same role) to provide engaging, stimulating experiences and relief from the daily grind.
Admission is Free with RSVP!
But we ask that you make your reservation(s) as early as possible. We keep our programs small and intimate in scale so that everyone feels comfortable and at ease. Reservations are first come, first served.
