About the Event

ARTZ @ The Museum is back at the Barnes! We are very excited to return to the Barnes Foundation for the first time in 5 years. Join us as we welcome the Barnes back to the ARTZ community!

Join us June 14th at 11:00 am (ET) for a joy-filled session in person at the Barnes Foundation. After you register, we will send you information and instructions.

The Barnes Foundation is home to one of the world’s great collections of modern European paintings, with numerous works by Renoir, Cézanne, Matisse, Picasso, Van Gogh, and Modigliani. It also features African art, Native American pottery, Pennsylvania German furniture, old master paintings, antiquities from around the globe, and decorative ironwork. Founder, Dr. Albert C. Barnes arranged his collection in “ensembles,” creating unusual mixed-media groupings of objects from different cultures and time periods.

Please note: the event will be dependent on prevailing conditions related to COVID, as we will always prioritize the health and safety of our participants and staff. Masks and proof of vaccination are required to attend this event.

This program is generously sponsored by Fountain View at Logan Square, a senior living community in Center City Philadelphia. Only a five minute walk from the Barnes!

As our sponsor for the re-launch of ARTZ @ the Barnes, Fountain View at Logan Square graciously invites all program participants to enjoy lunch at Fountain View as their guests, following the program on June 14.

If you would like to join us for lunch, please make a note of it in the “leave a comment” section of the registration form below. Registration is required two days in advance of the event, by June 12th, so that we can provide a list of lunch guests to our friends at Fountain View at Logan Square.

Admission is free with RSVP!

But we ask that you make your reservation(s) as early as possible. We keep our programs small and intimate in scale so that everyone feels comfortable and at ease. Reservations are first come, first served.

Accessibility, transit and parking:

The Barnes Foundation is wheelchair accessible. There is limited parking (first come, first accommodated) in The Barnes Foundation private lot on Pennsylvania Ave between 20th and 21st streets. The Barnes is also accessible by public transit:
