Join us for an in-person ARTZ Notes program at Summit Presbyterian Church with Molly Hicks, a new ARTZ Notes facilitator!
Join music therapist and singer/songwriter Molly Grace Hicks to explore songs with the theme of gratitude. A practice of gratitude can help lower stress, improve mood, strengthen relationships, and release neurotransmitters that improve mood. Whether obvious or implied, many songs reflect on being thankful for people in our lives, for our resources, for the natural world, and for our own ability to grow. In fact, any song could be connected with gratitude if we start with the premise of being grateful for music itself. During our time together, you may sing some familiar songs that automatically connect to the theme, and enjoy other tunes through a new lens. Over the course of the session, we will also collaborate as a group to create a one-of-a-kind gratitude song!
ARTZ Notes invites you to come together with other participants to listen to music, make your own, and engage with each other and the performers. ARTZ Notes offers music and experiences as diverse as our participants. We are exploring different options including facilitating live performances paired with conversations, interactive improvisation and sing-alongs, and conversations and movement around pre-recorded music of all genres.
