Julia Moore Converse

Julia’s warmth and wit were a gift to everyone at ARTZ Philadelphia. Julia and her husband Richard Bartholomew became much-loved members of the ARTZ Philadelphia community from their first ARTZ @ The Museum program in 2017. When they first joined us, Julia had been living with a diagnosis of young-onset dementia for a decade. When Julia passed away in May 2020, Richard collaborated with us to develop a fitting way of honoring Julia’s memory and ensuring that one of the brightest lights of our community would continue to shine. Our program ARTZ @ Home with Julia and Richard, which welcomes participants to explore Julia and Richard’s own art collection was created in her honor.
