ARTZ Philadelphia Announces Its Newly-Rebranded “Campaign for a Joyful Future”

ARTZ Philadelphia has announced its newly-rebranded “Campaign for a Joyful Future,” a three-year initiative to raise $500,000 in support of its mission to enrich and bring joy into the lives of people affected by dementia and their care partners through arts engagement, connection, and community.

As government investment in future treatments becomes more uncertain, ARTZ Philadelphia is committed to bringing community, creativity, and joy to people living with dementia today and tomorrow. Now in its 14th year, ARTZ Philly, as it’s known, offers weekly programs in arts centers, community hubs, museums, nursing homes, and residential care facilities, along with cutting edge intergenerational initiatives, all dedicated to enhancing the quality of life of people affected by dementia and those they love. All programs are free of charge to participants.

The new campaign name reflects the organization’s core values of joyful engagement, rebuilding community through shared creativity, and hope for the future, while honoring the voices and perspectives of the diverse people and neighborhoods it serves. The name change emerged through a thoughtful, inclusive process shaped by the perspectives and aspirations of ARTZ Philadelphia community members.

In October 2025, a $75,000 gift to the organization from a long-time supporter provided the seed gift for a three-year, $500,000 capacity-building and sustainability campaign, unanimously approved by the organization’s board of directors. Less than a year later, the campaign has already brought in over $160,000.

The Campaign for a Joyful Future will make possible:

  • Bringing joy to more individuals living with dementia and their care partners by increasing direct services, programs, and opportunities to contribute to their communities
  • Sharing joy throughout more neighborhoods by partnering with more residents, neighborhood hubs, medical and teaching centers, residential care communities, and cultural organizations
  • Spreading the joy of arts-centered engagement by increasing awareness of its power to create connection, belonging, and meaningful moments across the Greater Philadelphia region
  • Strengthening ARTZ Philly’s capacity to spark joy by investing in vital staffing, fundraising systems, and long-term organizational sustainability.
