Join us Saturday April 18th from 11:00AM-12PM at Center in the Park for ARTZ Philly Side By Side, a unique pilot program designed specifically for care pairs—care partners (caregivers) and their loved ones living with dementia.
This special event features two programs happening at the same time and in the same welcoming space, offering meaningful, individualized experiences for both members of the pair.
While care partners focus on self-care and connection, their loved ones are simultaneously engaged in creative expression—allowing both to benefit, together and apart.
This program is designed exclusively for care pairs, one care partner and their loved one living with dementia, so please be sure to register for two.
For Care Partners – Christine Coppa:
Christine is an open-hearted human who values creative living and self-expression through art making. Drawn to natural beauty, simple everyday moments, whimsy, and all things flowery and papery, her work emphasizes the art of connection; she makes and shares art as a way to provide comfort, celebrate, and show love. She teaches full-time in the Behavioral Health Human Services (BHHS) program at Community College of Philadelphia and has worked in a variety of capacities as a licensed clinical social worker. As an educator-practitioner, Christine values the art of self-discovery and learning through the integration of expressive arts; especially poetry, visual art, and expressive writing. Christine is currently a student at Northwest Creative and Expressive Arts Institute (NWCEAI) pursuing professional training as an expressive arts facilitator, and loves joining with others in support of their creativity and wellness.
For People Living with Dementia – Sonya Budnovitch:
Sonya is a licensed professional counselor and board certified dance/movement therapist who presents with an open and light-hearted personality. She enjoys working together with her clients to explore and express emotions, develop and expand communication skills and relationships, and find ways to continue overall growth within the therapeutic relationship. In her free time, Sonya enjoys teaching Pilates, dancing, doing trivia and spending time with her two cats.
Light refreshments will be served at this program. If you have any dietary restrictions, please list them in the “Want to add a comment?” section on the registration form.
