Yael Tacher

Yael Tacher was born in Mexico City, Mexico and lived there until 2003 when she moved to Philadelphia. She studied restaurant management and graduated with an Associates Degree back home. Upon moving to Philadelphia, she looked for volunteer opportunities to find something to fill her time. She stumbled into the non-profit world and has not looked back since.

Yael is currently the Program Coordinator for the Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce where she works to encourage the advancement and economic growth of the Hispanic community.

She volunteers as an interpreter and translator for HIAS, a non-profit dedicated to supporting low-income immigrants of all backgrounds as they build new lives in our community. She is also a “Sugar Angel” for Icing Smiles, a non-profit whose mission is to provide custom celebration cakes and other treats to families impacted by the critical illness of a child.

“I am honored to be part of ARTZ and look forward to finding ways to create a happy and inclusive space for people with dementia and their caretakers.”
