PROGRAM UPDATE: Café for Care Partners — ARTZ Goes Musical!
Time & Location
About The Event
Join us on June 20 at 1:00 pm (EST). After you register, we will send you the Zoom link and instructions.
This Saturday, we hope you'll join us for the next Café for Care partners, as we play around with ideas for our soon-to-launch music-based program “ARTZ Notes.”
Sadly, Keisha Hutchins Hirlinger, our planned guest artist for the Café, is ill and won’t be able to be with us on Saturday. While she may not be able to join us, we are still eager to hear from you about what you envision for the new program. Keisha has sent along a few clips from performances she’s done recently so that you can get a sense of what she’s about. In addition, we’ll have some musical clips from other potential collaborators.
Susan Shifrin, ARTZ Philadelphia Founder and Executive Director, will host the conversation and share the various program formats that we’ve been thinking about.
Ultimately, though, this program – like all of our programs and projects at ARTZ Philadelphia – is about you. Do you have a favorite type of music that evokes joyful memories? Is there a musician or performance ensemble that connects you and your partner living with dementia? What would a fulfilling musical experience with us look like? Join us in conversation as we talk about ARTZ Notes and imagine with each other sessions full of music and joy.
Cafés for Care Partners are an opportunity to get together informally outside the context of a support group. The cafes are definitely supportive – but they're also periods of respite, a chance to kick back, go someplace new with new and old friends, and share a cup of coffee or glass of wine.
