About The Event
After you register, we will send you the Zoom link with instructions for joining.
ARTFul Insights™ is a monthly program brought to you as part of the Dementia Society’s series of online offerings for people living with dementia and their care partners, “Dementia Unplugged.” ARTFul Insights™ is hosted and facilitated by ARTZ Philadelphia
This month, we invite you to join us in experiencing extra enjoyment as we welcome special guest Lorena Bradford, Manager of Accessible Programs at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC., who will co-facilitate the program with ARTZ Philadelphia's director, Susan Shifrin. Together, Susan and Lorena will host the warm, welcoming and informal conversations about one or two works of art that you've come to expect from ARTFul Insights™. This time we'll be looking at works from Lorena's home institution, the National Gallery of Art.
Lorena Bradford has developed and oversees programs for people with hearing and vision loss, people with memory loss and their care partners, families shaped by sensory processing disorders, healthcare students and professionals, and others. She has consulted and offered training on best practices for other museums and institutions in Washington, DC, across the nation, and abroad.
The National Gallery of Art, founded as a gift to the nation, serves as a center of visual art, education, and culture. We will explore works from their collection of more than 150,000 paintings, sculpture, decorative arts, photographs, prints, and drawings spanning the history of Western art.
